Residents of the Snowy Monaro Regional Council are not required to vote in this year’s Local Government Elections due to the merger. Electors who are enrolled within the Snowy Monaro Region, formerly known as the Bombala, Cooma Monaro and Snowy River Shire Council’s, do not need to vote at this year’s council elections, on Saturday, September 10. Elections for the Snowy Monaro Regional Council area are next year on September 9, 2017.
