Fine food and fashions

A WONDERFUL spread of beautiful homemade food was enjoyed and some fine fashions were eagerly eyed at the Catholic Ladies Annual Spring Luncheon and Fashion Parade last Friday.

The Bombala Golf Club was the setting for the cheerful afternoon, which boasted not only a beautiful meal and parade, but of course a happy and relaxed atmosphere as well.

When it came to the parade, the guests were left most impressed with the outfits on display, which were made up of garments and accessories from Final Touches.

There were a couple of new faces amongst the models this year, with Di Green and Leisa Mackay joining Chris Page, Beverley Moulds and Roma Brownlie on the catwalk.

Of course all looked lovely as they exhibited the various ensembles, and it was clear that many diners were eager to hit the local shops following the parade.

Caron Eccles as compere took the luncheon gathering through each of the items on display, and Jan Farrell inspired plenty of laughs with the occasional joke.

Thanks now goes to all who contributed to the success of the Fashion Parade and Luncheon, which proved the perfect way for its many guests to spend a pleasant afternoon in Bombala.
