Students from Years 2-6 developed their swimming skills during a wonderful two night trip to Pambula.
The excursion comprised of a skill-based swimming program at the Aquatic Centre, an educational tour of the Merimbula Aquarium and a range of activities at the Pambula Discovery Park.
The swimming lessons, the primary focus of the excursion, focused on improving each individual’s skill level in and around the water.
The whole school also participated in an excursion to Canberra to see the highly acclaimed production of Carnival of the Animals at the Canberra Theatre Centre.
They also visited the Pod Playground at the National Arboretum Canberra.
Golf
There was no golf for the ladies on Wednesday. They travelled to Canberra to farewell friend and member Lana Withers. It was a beautiful service for a lovely lady.
On Saturday the members played a Stableford for the J Ingram Trophy.
The winner was Ray Fermor on 34 pts. Ray also won the ball.
Sunday there was no golf at home with the chaps braving the weather to travel to Coolamatong for the Open Men’s Tournament. They didn’t get too wet but it was cold, very cold, was the comment.
Ross Brown came home with a NTP Trophy and Brendan Weston finding the fairway came home with the Longest Drive in his division and also the NTP Trophy.
One of our chaps had a seniors moment and had to borrow a car to chase after his driver to retrieve the keys to his car. It must have been a good day.
