The Southampton rock trio will bring their hits like “Asleep at the Wheel” and “Cold Fame” to the Illawarra for the first time on November 25 at the Wollongong UniBar.
Drummer Matt Hayward said although none of the group were religious they recorded their new album By Default in their local Baptist Church.
They liked the space and the acoustics, the vicar needed a new roof, so they cut a deal.
“It’s a very big staple in the community that church, it does a lot for the community around it,” Hawyard said of its initiatives like feeding the homeless.
