The 2017 Bega Cup Carnival will be held at the Sapphire Coast racecourse on Saturday and Sunday, February 4-5, with $415,000 in stakes on offer over the two days.
In conjunction with the race meetings, the Sapphire Coast Turf Club and Club Sapphire Merimbula are hosting a “Gallopers for Carers” Charity Dinner on the Saturday from 7pm.
Corporations/businesses may sponsor a table of 10 at a cost of $1000, which will be donated in full to Community Carers Accommodation South East (CCASE) and is tax-deductible. Members of the public may purchase tickets for $130 per head via RSVP to gallopcare@bigpond.com before February 1.
The evening will provide a quality three-course meal with wine and beer/soft drinks and lots of good entertainment. There will be lucky door prizes, silent auctions, competitions – including the opportunity of winning a share in a racehorse – and a Calcutta on the Bega Cup.
