Last week’s photo was of Monaro Representative Rugby Union footballers and may have been too old for people to recognise. The team toured the district from Candelo to Cobargo.
The Monaro team were reps from Bombala, Bibbenluke and Cathcart. The players manager was Leo Moran, captained by Langley, while the president of the Bibbenluke Club (William Kelly) accompanied the team.
The touring team is R Langley, F Moran, Harry Little, B Thomas, Lyn (Gumpie) Thomas, C Thomas, Edward (Ted) Helmers, J Ryan, Charlie Stewart, Clyde Stewart, M Burke, M McCoy, W Rogers, H and S Beddingfield and Clarey Binsdadt.
The gentleman back left is William Kelly (the Bibbenluke manager),the one middle back is Leo Moran, second from the left in the middle is Edward (Ted) Helmers, right side middle is Harry Little, front row second left is Clarence Binsdadt, and on his right is Charlie (Scotchie) Stewart.
