In a joint operation yesterday police and officials from the Australian Taxation Office executed a search warrant at a property in the Monaro region.

About 9.30am yesterday, officer’s from Monaro Local Area Command and taxation officials entered the property on Callemondah Road, Shannons Flat, about 40km north-west of Cooma and executed a search warrant.
During the search, officers allegedly located more than 92,000 tobacco plants, more than two tonnes of tobacco leaves, $15,000 in cash, a shot gun and ammunition.
The estimated excisable value of the tobacco seizure is over $11.77 million.
The investigation into this significant seizure continues.
