HBO dropped the trailer in the wee hours of Friday morning. Despite it not airing any actual scenes from the highly-anticipated seventh season, fans are still whipping themselves into a frenzy.
The clip, which runs for a measly one-and-a-half minutes, features three key characters taking a "long walk" to their respective thrones.
Jon Snow, wearing a fur coat bigger than Hodor (may he rest in peace), strolls through the candlelit halls of Winterfell to take his rightful place as King of the North. Cersei Lannister, meanwhile, looks as murderous as ever - gliding onto the Iron Throne the same way she was crowned Queen: alone.
But what got fans really talking is the way Daenerys Targaryen is also shown walking towards a throne that hasn't been depicted before in the wildly popular television series. Her throne appears to be made of several jagged pieces of rock, while the pattern on the chair resembles scales.
Numerous fans familiar with George RR Martin's books have taken an educated guess that the trailer depicts the mother of dragons in the Dragonstone throneroom. Dragonstone is the place where former villain Stannis Baratheon ruled from during his rebellion.
Dragonstone??is also Daenerys' birthplace, and would be a fitting location to base herself while plotting to take over Westeros. This theory is backed up by unauthorised shots taken last year of Jon Snow supposedly meeting up with Daenerys in a rocky, high-altitude environment - the perfect place to build a castle easily accessible by dragon.
However, other fans have pointed out that the throne could be the throne from the Iron Islands. After all, at the end of season six, Daenerys is shown to have made an alliance with the Greyjoy children.
What is out of the question, though, is whether the throne belongs to Khaleesi's other Westeros-based ally, the Tyrells. The colours and style of the murky throne room don't match up with the Tyrell's penchant for green, gold and floral emblems.
