Last week’s businessmen from the 1890s was certainly one garnering plenty of interest.
Along with the history of the men photographed was an extra one to test your observation skills. The two old cobbers were Alfie Mustard and Athol (Slip) Reid pictured in the 1960s.
The two men worked in the timber industry for many years, and both played rugby league football in winning grand final teams.
They have done a lot for the community over the years, and are both now enjoying retirement in Bombala.
The previous week’s photo showed the fifth grade pupils of Bombala Public School in 1965.
Pictured with teacher John Pereira were:
Back row: Tim Stewart David Corby, Wayne White, John Ingram, Warren Lewis, Stewart Ellis, Norman Wilton, Colin Groves, Andrew Campbell.
Third row: Robyn Campbell, Helen Hepburn, Lindy Cowell, Elizabeth Fagg, Carrol Wright, Vicky Stephenson, Diane Platts, Karen Jones, Christine Cowell, Josephine Vejvoda.
