Narooma HuntFest 2017 is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever before with all available stalls sold out. Held at the Narooma Sports and Leisure Centre on the June long weekend, the SSAA NSW HuntFest as it is now known has evolved into a complete outdoor show.

Whereas the primary focus is on hunting, it also encompasses other recreational outdoor activities such as camping, bushwalking, horse riding, fishing, 4wd, trail bike riding, atv and utv’s, archery and more.
Organiser and South Coast Hunters Club president, Dan Field said interest in exhibiting had been stronger than ever.
“We opened the bookings last month and within eight days all but one or two of the stalls had been booked out,” Mr Field said. “It looks like it’s going to the best one yet.”
South Coast Hunters Club also continues to return profits to the community, having made more than $10,000 in donations over the last 20 years and $7500 of that over the last five years from Huntfest.
Mr Field said the latest donation of $250 went to the Batemans Bay PCYC and it hoped that this year a similar donation can be made to the Narooma PCYC.
“We look forward to making more donations through the year and anyone with a worthy cause is encouraged to contact the South Coast Hunters Club,” he said.
The club has also revamped its website and the HuntFest Facebook page is increasingly popular.
Mr Field himself and other committee representatives have been learning the basic technical skills required to help promote the event in this social media and internet age.
SSAA NSW HuntFest will be held over two days over the June long-weekend.
