If there’s someone in your life who is a volunteer, please give them a pat on the back and thank them for all they do.
Wednesday is an exciting day for council and the region as a whole as we hold our inaugural Regional Networking Expo at the Alpine Hotel from 10am on Wednesday, May 10. There will be information booths open to the public, allowing people to interact with the services and council staff.
The day shapes as an exciting one for the region with the unveiling on a regional app called the Snowy Guide. This app will allow locals and tourists to access valuable information about what this great region offers, right there at your fingertips.
NRL legend Danny Buderus will deliver the keynote speech.
On Friday, Snowy Monaro Regional Council will turn one. It’s been a year of growth and achievement for the region. While there was some reluctance in parts for the three former shires to come together, our communities have seen unprecedented levels of investment and funding. From the opening of the Lake Wallace Dam, that followed the work of the previous Cooma-Monaro Shire Council. Community groups have been able to turn dream projects into a reality and the region has had $15million allocated for major projects to boost the Snowy Monaro.
