The Bombala Blue Heelers were out to keep up their great form when they took on the Narooma Devils in Narooma on Sunday.

Bombala’s Samoni Buinimasi was first to score under the posts and, with a successful conversion, Bombala were first to put points on the board, six to nil.
Narooma hit back with a try of their own, followed shortly by another taking the lead 12 to six.
It was Tyler Jones who intercepted a Narooma pass and couldn’t be matched for pace, running the length of the field to score under the posts 12 to 10.
Minutes later Bombala’s Alex Rosten shot up the sideline to runaway and score another great try under the posts that was converted bringing the score to Bombala 16 Narooma 12.
It was Bombala that scored again through the quick hands of Zac Slater under the posts. A successful conversion and Bombala led 22-12.
Nearing half time, Narooma hit back with a try of their own and Bombala led 22 to 18. Not long after Tyler Jones threw a great ball to Bailey Jones who scored on the wind and with this conversion successful Bombala had a comfortable lead 32 to 18.
Narooma came back with some good ball skills and scored a quick three tried to take the lead late in the game 42 to 32.
It was exciting stuff when a great run from Jackson Standen got Bombala great field position and with some quick hands Andrew Guthrie was over in the corner and Bombala finished on top at full in a close game 36 to 34.
Players Player and three points went to Tyler Jones, two points went to Adam Rodwell and one point to Nick Ryan.
High Heelers
It was going to be a tough weekend for the Bombala High Heelers with two games to be played over the course of the weekend.
On Saturday the ladies travelled to Candelo to play against the Candelo-Bemboka United (CBU) Pink Panthers and on Sunday they travelled to Narooma to face up to the Narooma She-Devils.
Saturday’s game saw the scoring opened early by Caitlin Johnson of CBU who grabbed an opportunity to slip through the line and score under the posts.
Although the CBU players played a strong game, the Bombala High Heelers ended up winning the game 36 to 4.
Players Player and three points went to Amy Stone, two point to Abby Kimber and one point to Natasha Stewart.
Then it was off to Narooma on Sunday to play the Narooma She-Devils. The game started well for the Heelers with Keiarna Rodwell scoring the opening try to give Bombala the lead.
At half time the score was Bombala 14 to Narooma nil. The final score was Bombala 20 Narooma 4.
Players Player and three points went to Kristy Nichols, two points to Keiarna Rodwell and one point to Georgie Clarke.
