PONY CLUB
Delegate Pony Club has had a busy time recently.
Four riders attended the Cobargo Gymkhana on Sunday, May 21 where they gained a lot of new experience. They evented in riding class, riding class pairs, jumping and sporting events.
Meanwhile, on the weekend just gone, May 28, four riders represented Delegate Pony Club at the Wamboin Pony Club Mounted Games Competition at Bungendore.
The riders participated in a full round of games that included a five flag race, sword race, tack shop race, stock race, postmans chase, stepping stones, hurdle race, rope race and pyramid race.
Delegate riders came home with a wonderful experience and first place in division 2.
This is the first time Delegate Pony Club has been represented at a mounted games competition since the re-establishment of the club in 2013. Riders have been working on mounted games at some of their rally days and it has certainly paid off.
Delegate Pony Club riders thanked Rachel and Rowena Butterworth for arranging the team and making time for special practise sessions.
A reminder that DPC has its monthly rally day this Sunday, June 4, 9.30am gear check for a 10am start. Check the Delegate Pony Club Community Page on Facebook for more info.
