Now Felicity says she and Michael are hoping to have another baby “very soon”.
The Wollongong couple were one of four who were at crossroads in their relationship, and who in turn would live with a like-minded new partner in an experimental marriage labelled as “switch therapy”.
“If you don’t go in there open minded and able to look at your own flaws you’re not going to learn from the other person,” Felicity told the Illawarra Mercury.
“If anything it has made Michael and I stronger. It tested our relationship, it tested all types of emotions.”
The show was filmed months ago and watching each episode as it went to air was quite raw for her, especially in the first few weeks.
“The first six to eight episodes were quite negative and it was hard to relive some of those moments ... you’re in the end of it now and it’s a lot more positive for some of the couples, and i’ll use the word ‘some’,” the mum-of-two said.
“We definitely made right decision [to stay together], I think as soon as Michael walked in the door [after living apart] we both knew what we wanted to do.”
The pair had their ups and downs in the show but Felicity is happy about their future together.
“Definitely more kids … I could be pregnant very, very soon,” she said.
“We have the two most gorgeous babies already so we know we make amazing babies; that’s definitely on the cards. Working on our business together, focusing on our relationship and our children is our main priority.”
Her advice for anyone thinking of testing their relationship on a reality show is to have “thick skin”, moreso because of hurtful comments from strangers judging what’s played on the small screen.
