The fourth and final of Council’s candidate information sessions for the September 9 elections has wrapped up. The final session was held in Bombala on Monday night. Across the four sessions it was pleasing to meet locals enthusiastic about standing as a candidate. The new councillors will have a responsibility to ensuring the region continues to grow. Hard work, cooperation and a willingness to think regionally will be important qualities in potential councillors.
Council will be headed to your town in the coming weeks to inform you of the timeline for the delivery of the Stronger Communities Fund Major Projects Program of works. There are 100 exciting and important community projects that will be delivered by June, 2019.
These projects range in their scope from streetscape works, to improvements to local recreational facilities. It’s a great time to be a resident of the Snowy Monaro.
