SOME new faces were welcomed to the Bombala RSL Club bowling greens on Saturday, with a small but enthusiastic bunch rolling up for Barefoot Bowls.
This was a social day planned by our local bowling clubs, with the idea being to give community members of all ages the chance to have a go at bowls in a fun and relaxed setting.
And with around 20 players hitting the greens for the afternoon, plenty of laughs were shared as those new to bowling found their feet in the game.
Our more experienced bowlers were more than happy to show them the ropes, and adults and children alike got a feel for the game and the skill involved.
Of course some relaxed music and a barbecue just added to the atmosphere, and a happy day on the greens was shared amongst the mixed group.
Readers are reminded that Twilight Bowls is also played on Tuesday evenings from 5.45pm, giving another opportunity for all comers to enjoy a casual game of bowls at the Club.
