Pony Club
Delegate Pony Club had four riders, Myah Voveris, Anna Cameron, Aspen Cameron and Lydia Jamieson compete in the Bemboka gymkhana on Sunday. They competed in barrel race, western pole bend, bending race and keyhole bounce events. Aspen and Lydia also competed in show jumping with Lydia doing a clear round of E grade then into a jump-off and she also competed in the 6 bar. Assisted riders don’t compete in jumping so they did some extra events like cup race and egg & spoon race. Bemboka put on a fantastic day and the DPC riders represented the club well bringing home a swag of ribbons. Lydia and Anna also won encouragement awards for their age category. Lydia in a highly competitive 8 and u10s and Anna in the assisted riders.

Golf pennants
On Friday, August 11 a dinner and presentation for the members of the 2017 Delegate Country Club pennants team was held at the Delegate Country Club in celebration of winning the ACT Southern Region District Pennant Competition for the third consecutive year. This year’s tournament was a very closely fought, with Delegate winning on a count-back from Bombala after the final round. Congratulations to all that participated this year in contributing to another well deserved victory.
Golf
The Bombala Ladies Golf Club played a Stableford for V Johnson Memorial Trophy on Wednesday. The winner was Betty Crawford with 29 pts. Ball was won by Joy Douch on a c/b from Gay Kennedy 25 pts. The men played for a Stableford for the Late Rick Ingram Trophy on Saturday. The players remembered Rick and his passing three years ago on the 16th green having just putted out. You are missed Rick. The winner was Pepper Thompson 34 Pts. on a c/b back from James Tatham maybe the 13th Hole cost James a trophy over shooting the green by a long way. Should have gone down a couple of clubs James. Balls were won by Pepper, James and Brendan Weston 31 pts on a c/b from Wayne Elton. NTP won by Merv Douch.
Sunday was a Par for Club Trophy. Ind. Acc. We had a very excited winner with Heather Brown taking home the chicken with a + 4. Well done Heather. Balls were won by Heather, Merv Douch +2 and Pepper Thompson +1. Very interesting result they were in the same group. Merv Douch must have the 17th worked out taking the ball again for NTP.
