The aim of their visit is to help spread the ‘Recycle Right’ message. They will provide information to businesses and residents on how the new comingled bin system works and what can (and can’t) go in the yellow lidded recycling bins.
The Resource and Waste Education team would like to talk to residents and businesses in Bombala, Delegate and surrounds about their current recycling habits, and opportunities to promote better recycling in the area.
Council staff hope to speak to as many businesses and schools as possible during the ‘Recycle Right’ information days with posters, flyers, FAQs and a short questionnaire.
Council would love your help in spreading the ‘Recycle Right’ campaign. If you are able to display ‘Recycle Right’ material in your shop window or include it in a local newsletter we’d like to see you.
To make an appointment to discuss recycling and education options, or to ensure you receive material to display, please contact Council’s Resource and Waste Services by Thursday, August 17 on 1300 345 345.
Together we can help reduce waste to landfill by as much as 30 per cent, just by recycling right!
To help save precious resources, check you are recycling as much of your household waste as you can. Every time you get it right you are making a difference.
Don’t forget all domestic recyclable materials can be dropped off at Council's Resource and Waste Facilities, free of charge.
