About 4.10am (Monday, October 16), emergency services were called to a home on Peak Hill Road, Buckajo, in relation to a house alight.

After the blaze was extinguished, the body of a man, believed to be a 57-year-old man, was located in a bedroom.

A crime scene was established and inquiries continue into the cause of the fire.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
