Basketball coach, Katie Peisley said the Jamboree is a great initiative that sets the path for everyone involved. It’s developing the future of the wonderful game of basketball.
“Each year 180 players and 40 coaches and managers attend the Jamboree, it is the platform for the future of our players and volunteers.
“The Jamboree has been developed to provide junior basketballers with an enjoyable basketball experience that includes more than just direct head to head competition.
“The Jamboree concept includes social activities, coaching clinics and games with the focus not on winning but the enjoyment of the game.
“Both girls had an amazing time and have developed new skills and confidence. We hope to get more players involved in this fantastic opportunity next year,” Ms Peisley said.
