In race 1 the Monaro Wool/Schute Bell/Landmark Maiden Handicap, Joseph Jones Racing has five-year-old mare Melly Moon running for the first time.
Ms Joseph said that there was a bit of story behind Melly Moon.
“Her mother died during delivery on Melbourne Cup Day in 2012 when Green Moon won the cup and she has been hand reared, Ms Joseph said.
Ms Joseph’s next entry is Smiling at Shadows in race 3 the Club Bombala Benchmark 49 Handicap and Under the Eaves in race 4 the Wilton Logging Pty Ltd Benchmark 50 Handicap.
“Smiling at Shadows and Under the Eaves are both coming off racing against some of the best, they should be good chances at Bombala,” Ms Joseph said.
In the Dongwha Timbers Bombala Cup Joseph Jones Racing has Girl’s Own racing. The seven year old gelding Girl’s Own is top weight and favourite to win.
“Girls Own is going to be very competitive when he races,” Ms Jones said.
The last race of the day Ms Joseph has Le Sacre Blur a five year old gelding racing in the Murphy’s Transport and Building Supplies Class 1 and Maiden Plate.
