The 2018 Bombala and District Show took place on Saturday with the crowds enjoying all the entertainment, competitions, show jumping, dog trials, sheep shearing and pavilion entries on a beautiful sunny day.

Snowy Monaro Regional Council rangers were there offering free micro-chipping of cats and dogs as well as advice on weed management.
Children’s entertainment included the great magician Zamboni, the ObstAcool obstacle course, cup and saucer ride, jumping castle and animal petting farm.
Organisers were generally very pleased with the way the day went.
“There were a lot of people, a lot of pavilion entries with the children’s all day ride passes very popular.”
Horse events were held throughout the day with Heidi Jessop – Andlyn Park Titanium winning Supreme Ridden Hunter of the Show.
Supreme Hack of the Show was Anee-Marie Ladhams on Commander Mak.
Wood Chopping handicap events were held throughout the day with Laurence O’Tool coming out champion on the day winning the Open 325mm, 300mm Underhand and Open Standing Blocks as well as the 325mm Underhand Championship along with the two man Buthchers Block Underhand with Will Brook.
Champion Fleece of the show went to C Browlie and the Landmark Bombala golden Fleece went to Murdoch Bibbenluke.
In the pavilion there were some amazing entries with the flowers and vegetables not showing any signs of the hot dry weather affecting their growing.
Best exhibitor in the vegetable section was G Hillyer and the Most Successful Exhibitor in the Veggie Section was T Mcintosh.
The Horace Wilson Memorial Perpetual Trophy for flowers went to B Anderson, Champion in the Cut Flowers was R Crawford and the Champion Floral Art Exhibit went to C Trevanion. Champion in the Junior flower exhibit was won by E Vincent.
Poddy Hut Poultry, David and Kim Oliver won the Champion Bird of the Show.
