Our ladies hit Dalgety Women’s Day

THE Friends of the Dalgety Women’s Day would like to thank all the ladies, volunteers, services, speakers and performers that attended or contributed to this year’s Dalgety Women’s Day.

This includes a number of ladies from the Bombala district who enjoyed the event.

Noeline Brown, Ambassador for Ageing, was a delightful addition to a lively day full of local live entertainment, activities, information and laughs.

The theme ‘Connections and Caring’ was reiterated throughout the day, many women reconnecting and many making new connections.

A symbolic connective ribbon ceremony organised by MCCR representatives Sandy Schofield and Carolyn Ewart was one of the days many highlights, as was a surprise visit from ‘Kath and Kim’!

A live auction for Cooma’s Community Chest was a great success making over $300 for this vital cause.

The hall was at capacity and many women are looking forward to next year’s event.

Dalgety Women’s Day is a Snowy River Shire Council event that has grown in popularity over the last 14 years and is organised by the Friends of Dalgety Women’s Day under the Snowy Mountains Neighbourhood Centre auspice.

The Snowy River Shire Council will continue to support this important community event next year.

Ambassador for Ageing, Noeline Brown was guest speaker on May 15.
