FRIDAY, November 29 saw another Bombala High School student be signed up for a School Based Traineeship (SBAT).
Gary Giles is commencing an Automotive SBAT with D & M Automotive. He will be gaining valuable on the job training one day a week with Des and Michelle Peisley as well as attending TAFE for the theoretical side of the SBAT.
Gary is completing this as part of his Secondary Studies Vocational (SSV) pathway at school, which is flexible enough to only attend school three days a week whilst still achieving an HSC as well as working towards completing a nationally accredited Certificate.
A big thank you to D & M Automotive for supporting Gary, and I am sure that Des, Michelle and Gary will have many positive experiences.
We cannot underestimate the value of these SBATS for interested students and recognise that without employer support they are not possible.
If you are a student or business interested in further information about the benefits of an SBAT please do not hesitate to contact me at school on 6458 3358.
