The event is to be held at Bombala RSL on Friday, June 20 and tickets are already selling fast, event coordinator Chloe Murphy said.
“We only announced the event on Facebook last week and we have already sold 77 tickets,” Ms Murphy said.
“I think everyone loves to support a good cause and the money raised from this event will go towards helping local woman Sharon Dei Rocini.
“Last year we hosted a similar event for breast cancer and this year we decided to do a fashion show again but we know Skippy’s family have been struggling financially so we hope this will help.”
Ms Dei Rocini, better known to many Bombala people as Skippy Peisley, is in the fight of her life.
She was diagnosed with melanoma in 2007 and has since been diagnosed with a secondary brain cancer and lung cancer.
The money raised from the fashion show will go towards Skippy and her family who have been supporting her during her treatment.
Ms Murphy believes the fashion parade is an event not to be missed.
“It is such a fun day,” Ms Murphy said.
“It’s a good girly day out for local ladies.
“We have 12 local ladies and seven men who are donating their time to walk down the cat walk and showcase all new winter stock.”
The day will also include raffles and lucky door prizes with some wonderful items on offer.
“We have some great prizes for the lucky door and the raffles,” Ms Murphy said.
• Tickets to the event are only $15 and are available from Final Touches, 6458 4008.
