Works created by students from St Joseph’s, Bombala High, Delegate, Bibbenluke and Bombala Public Schools were displayed, and selected works were auctioned at the end of the evening.
Year 11 Hospitality students provided food throughout the night.
The Art Show is held every two years and is designed to encourage participation in the arts and to provide a social evening for parents and community members from all of the local schools.
Students were provided with the opportunity to produce an artwork on a canvas board for display.
Any funds raised on the evening are used to buy materials for the next art event and to pay for any organisation costs.
A number of students and teachers provided work for the auction held later in the evening. Over 30 lots were available and the bidding was keen.
One of the major art works donated by Victoria Morris, the art teacher at Bombala High School, was hotly contested with some very high bids.
The community of schools would like to thank Stewart Lee and Todd Haebich who volunteered their time to run the auction.
Thanks also to Raelene Stevenson who undertook much of the organisation of the event and to all of the staff and students involved in producing the art work and hanging it for display.
Special thanks to Fran Austin and our Year 11 Hospitality Team for the great food they prepared and served.
