“Jean had struggled with ill health for many years but she never let it stop her playing golf for as long as she could,” a spokesperson for Bombala Golf Club said.
“When that became too much Jean continued supporting the club, always there to help regardless of how she was feeling; as her husband Peter had done many years before. Their dream was to see the club grow.
“Over the last eight months when Jean was unable to be with us she was always interested in what was happening and complaining that she couldn’t be there to help.
“To Jeans family Martin, Anita, Bev, Graham and their families we offer our deepest sympathy in your sad loss of a lovely gently lady. Jean will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in peace dear friend,” the spokesperson said.
Jean’s funeral is on Friday at 2pm at the Anglican Church.
