The earth moved for people living in East Gippsland after a 2.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded by Geoscience Australia at 5.41pm on Thursday. Geoscience Australia confirmed that the 2.2 magnitude earth quake occurred 11 km NE of Bainsdale with a warnings issued for surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, VIC Emergency has issued an Alpine Avalanche warning for the Victorian Alps. People are advised to avoid activities in remote areas of the alps.
