At 5pm the Japanese Exhibition – Sakura will be officially opened.
On display will be kimono, clothes, textile, jewellery, ceramic, painting, wood and glass work, artist book, ukiyoe, small furniture, antiques and collectables.
The exhibition features works by Reiko Healy, Nancy Brunton, Mia Karlsson, Neil Campbell, Pam Eyles, Mark Lem, Susi Kleber, David Harris and Peter Read.
On the night there will be live Japanese music with bamboo flute shinobue, cello and Stonewave Taiko drummers. Japanese food will also be served.
The exhibition runs for two weeks only. The Spiral Gallery opens Monday to Saturday at 10am
