Kirrily Sinclair said Sunset Vibes will be a family friendly movie night showcasing “fun, classic” films on the second Friday of each month until April.
“I just felt like the northern [suburbs] needed a bit of night-time activity, but family focused,” Ms Sinclair said.
The businesswoman is aiming high for attendance and said she expects around 10,000 people at each event – a similar number to that who visit Foragers.
Premium seating with blow-up beds will be available; mum and dads can have alone time with a “kids club”; plus food trucks, beer and wine will be on site.
Ms Sinclair, who also runs the popular Eat Street and Friday Forage markets in Wollongong’s Crown Street Mall, said this was her next big project to focus on – for now.
“I feel like this was the gap, we’re listening to the feedback of our store holders and customers, this is the one we’re try and launch at the moment but who knows for the future,” she said.
