Bombala lady golfers played a par for Club Trophy on Wednesday. Gay Kennedy continues to hit the ball well, sinking great putts winning with a + 2. Betty Crawford was the ball winner.

Saturday although wet prior to hit off the men decided to take a chance with the weather and played a Stroke for the Monthly Medal. Ray Crawford showed them how to handle a wet course winning the medal with 72 nett. Ray and Wayne Elton 79 nett were the ball winners.
Saturday evening was presentation night where all the winners receive their trophies played for during the season. Thanks to the men for looking after the ladies for the night.
President Brendan started the proceedings welcoming everyone and thanking all trophy donors. Ladies president Betty Crawford thanked all voluntary workers with the assistance of vice captain Eva L’Estrange began the ladies presentation.
Ladies Club Champion for 2017 and ladies captain, Joy Douch was held up at the hospital and didn’t make it back in time to collect her trophies. Handicap Champion Jean Mclean was present to receive her certificate and trophy. Betty and Eva then presented all trophies to the winners during the year.
Joel Cherry, the men’s captain and Brendan then started the men’s presentation. The Club Champion for 2017 Clay Stewart was unable to attend. B Grade Champion for 2017 was Glen Hampshire.
Herbie Elliot was emotional when receiving the Bob Johnson Single Match Play Shield. Bob loved Match Play and Herbie said he was thrilled to have his name on the shield.
The next shield was the Smokey Richardson Eclectic Trophy won by Wayne Elton..
Ross Brown was the winner of the Most Improved Player reducing his handicap from 27 to 20 during the year.
Watch out for Pepper Thompson during 2018. He went home with the most trophies and the Leon and Jodie Jones donated putting trainer. Congratulations to all the champions and trophy winners for 2017.
Golf did continue on Sunday even though some were a little seedy, playing a Stableford for Club Trophy Ind. Acc.
The winner was Wayne Elton 35 pts on a c/b from Clay Stewart. These chaps were the ball winners. The NTP was not won over the weekend.
The Individual Accumulator was finalised on Sunday. The trophies were donated by Brad and Lauren Yelds of Cobana Poll Dorset. Stage 1.Won by Ross Brown. Stage 2. Won by Merv Douch. Stage 3. Won by Wayne Elton.
