St Joseph’s Primary School students gathered with their families and the school community to celebrate their Year 6 students graduation from primary school and the presentation of school awards.

“The entire school community gathered together for a beautiful Graduation Mass to celebrate the graduating students’ time at St Joseph’s,” St Joseph’s Primary School teacher Mary Ventry said.
“Congratulations go to the graduation students Max Chaplin, Paige Hurley, Beau Brownlie, Alex Reed, Lachlan Simpson, Nikolas Gay, Rochelle Voveris and Isabelle Yelds for successfully completing their primary education,” she said.
Following the graduation mass, St Joseph’s held its end-of-year presentation night where students were presented with awards for consistency and commitment to their learning and to life at St Joseph’s.
School Encouragement awards went to Archie Schofield (Kinder), Aspen Cameron (Year 1), Torin Hillyer (Year 2), Gabrielle Kidd (Year 3), River Guthrie (Year 4), Montanna Chamberlain (Year 5) and Beau Brownlie (Year 6).
Literacy awards went to Maya Champlin (Kinder), Karina Perkins (Year 1), Miller Stewart (Year 2), Cody Bruce (Year 3), Hannah Howard-Jones (Year 4), Charlie Campbell (Year 5) and Paige Hurley (Year 6).
Numeracy awards went to April Kimber (Kindy), Mia Stone (Year 1), Jakeb Gay and Henry Power (Year 2), Raymond Perkins (Year 3), Evan Phillips (Year 4), Brylie Stewart (Year 5) and Max Chaplin (Year 6).
Other awards were presented to Max Chaplin winning the St Joseph’s Sports Award while Isabelle Yelds and Grace Phillips received Encouragement Awards.
Grace Murphy and River Guthrie were presented with the St Joseph’s Principal’s Award .
Kate Yelds was presented with the School Spirit Award; Paige Hurley received the St Mary Mackillop Award and Nikolas Gay was presented with the Rotary Award for Excellence.
“After supper provided by the SCC, students got to show case their dancing and singing skills by preforming both folk and contemporary Christmas carols,” Mrs Ventry said.
