Spokesperson for the Bombala Basketball Association, Katie Peisley said that with four games playing, it was an amazing afternoon with lots of smiles and fun.
“First the Junior mini ball teams, Bakery and MCH Welding both played hard with everyone having a good time.
“MCH came off with the win 22-8.
“Dakota Simpson was awarded Best and fairest girl and Joey Sullivan as best and fairest boy.
“In the senior mini ball, a close game was had between purple and blue,” Ms Peisley said.
The low scoring game ended with blue coming out the winners with a score of 8-4.
Best and fairest girl was awarded to Paige Hurley, and best and fairest boy to Lachlan Simpson.
“The ladies had a nail biting games between Blue and Red, with an end score of 35-37 blues way. The men’s final between the oldies and XNXX ended with XNXX winning with a score of 28-49.
“The Robert Williams memorial trophy is awarded to a player who has grown in their defence as Robert always emphasised the importance of defence.
“This season it was awarded to Elsie Kember.
“Well done to all players!” Ms Peisley said.
“The Bombala basketball Association would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved in our basketball competition.
Thank you to the players, parents, volunteers, coaches and referees for all the time you put in. Without you, the competition would not run, so thank you.
“See you all next year for an even better competition for more laughs and good times,” she said.
