Merimbula man to face court after alleged shopping centre knife threat

A 21-year-old Merimbula man will face court on Wednesday after allegedly threatening another man with a knife in a Batemans Bay shopping centre.

Batemans Bay Police charged the man following an incident at 11:40am in the Batemans Bay CBD on Tuesday, January 9.

The man was later located by police in Orient St and arrested.

He was charged with three offences, including assault and possession of a prohibited weapon, and was bail refused to appear at Batemans Bay Local Court on January 10.
