Mini-Triathlon organiser Wendy Hampshire said that entries are invited from teams of three competitors to compete in the Swim, Run and Cycle Triathlon.

“The swim leg is held at the Bombala Pool with the running leg along the Bombala walking path and the bike leg is around APEX Park,” she said.

The program consists of four age brackets with event 1, the mixed mini boys and girls (seven-10-years) who will be required to swim one lap of the book, run clockwise from the pool and and follow the river walking track to APEX Park where they will ride one lap of the park.

The team coming first can win $45, with second winning $30 and third $15.

Event 2 for 11-13 years will swim two laps, run one and a half laps anticlockwise of the walking track and ride two laps of APEX Park.

Cash prizes are 1^st $60, 2^nd $45 and 3^rd $30.

Getting on to the older competitors, the mixed senior boys and girls (14-16 years) will have to swim four laps of the pool, complete two and a half laps run of the river and ride four laps around APEX Park.

First prize $150, 2^nd $90 and 3^rd $60.

Open teams will swim five laps of the pool, run clockwise from the pool two and a half laps of the river walking track to APEX Park and then ride five laps of the park.

First prize $210, 2^nd $120 and 3^rd $90.

Ms Hampshire said there are cash prizes for the winning teams on the day.

Entry fees are $5 per person for 7 to 16 years old and $10 per person after that.

“Of course bike helmets are mandatory, so come along with your team or you can join a team on the day.

“Registration is at 8am at the Bombala Pool.”
