Bombala Public School sports teacher, Toni Paine said, “We saw many of our students get in and have a go, and it was good to hear our students encouraging all students who were competing.
“Out of the six age champions, Bombala PS came away with five.
“Those students were Maicey Ross - Junior girls, Brandy Crotty – 11 years girls, Deakin Ross 11 years boys, Heidi Brownlie senior girls and Finn Sullivan senior boys.
“The overall house winner was awarded to Killarney.
“It was a super effort by all our students,” Ms Paine said.
Golf
The Bombala Ladies Golf Club started the season on Wednesday with a Stableford for Club Trophy.
Organisers said that the day was so hot that there was only a small field.
The winner was Heather Brown 26 pts and new player Joy Douch (the younger version Joy) won the ball with 22 pts. Good effort Joy.
Members on Saturday played a Stableford for Club Trophy. Ind. Acc.
“It was a reasonable field with some of our chaps travelling to Coolamatong forthe first round of the Pennants,” organisers said.
The winner at home was Merv Douch with the very good score of 43 pts. Balls went to Merv, Pepper 39 pts on a c/b from Simon Stephen 39 pts.
The Pennant Team had a very hard match and were defeated by Delegate 3/2.
In the other match Jindabyne defeated Coolamatong 5/0.
Sunday was a 4 BBB Agg. Stableford for Peter Ingram and S. Tatham Trophies.
It was good to see a large field competing for these trophies.
The winners were Korie Elton snf Joel Cherry with the great score of 78 pts.
Balls were won by Korie and Joel, Herbie Elliott and Simon Stephen 76 pts on a c/b from Leon Jones & Cary Elton.
NTP on the 7th was not won over the weekend.

Vale Charles "Charlie" Miles
Former Bombala golfer Charlie Miles passed away on Thursday, February 8. A grave side service was held at the Eden Lawn Cemetery yesterday at 2pm.
