On the February 28, a record number of 44 players tried out for the Imlay Bombers Primary School Sports Association (PSSA) AFL team at Berrambool Oval.

A team of 20 pupils were selected to participate in the South Coast Carnival on March 23 at Batemans Bay with players from Pambula, Bermagui, Eden, Merimbula, Bega , Wolumla and Tathra public schools taking to the field.
The team performed well at the South Coast Carnival winning three out of the four games they played. The team lost by only two points to Phil Jackson shield winners, Eurobodalla.
The team included Toby Parker, Kai Morgan, Lachie Ellard (Tathra PS), Bobby Mc Alpin, Nate Wood, William Clapton (Pambula PS), Lachlan Moresi, Samuel Glasson, Harry Huddleston, Flynn Kelly (Bermagui PS), Tienen Murphy, James Janson (Wolumla PS), Anthony Seach (Eden PS), Georgie Butches (Bega Valley PS), Indy Reack, Sam Hsiao, Koby Atkins-Moon, Walter Blewitt, Beau Bennett, Pierce Hayes (Merimbula PS).
At the carnival, Bobby Mc Alpin, Nate Wood (Pambula PS), Lachlan Moresi (Bermagui PS), Anthony Seach (Eden PS), Walter Blewitt, and Beau Bennett, (Merimbula PS) were selected to play for the South Coast team.
The trial event at Berrambool was well supported by the Diggers Football Club, the South Coast NSWAFL and GWS Giants players Matt Buntine and Adam Kennedy who came along to offer encouragement.
