Junior Rugby
The 53rd Junior Rugby League Bibbenluke Carnival was hed at Bibbenluke on the weekend. Seventy-three teams entered in Saturday’s competition with about 750 children playing on the day. The winners: U10 – Narooma. U12 – Merimbula/Pambula. U14 – Tathra. U16 – Narooma. U12LT – Tathra. U16LT – Bombala.

Golf
Bombala Golf Club hosted the final round of the Tableland Pennants. Going into this match Bombala were trailing Delegate and needed a big win. All our lads stepped up and defeated Coolamatong 5/0. Nimmitabel defeated Jindabyne 5/0. On a for and against bases Bombala are the winners of the 2018 Pennants by one game over Delegate. Congratulations Bombala team.
The winner of the day was Korie Elton who had a great round coming in with 44 pts. Balls were won by Korie, Ray Fermor 39 pts, Nick Ryan 37 pts, Ross Brown 36 pts, Merv Douch 35 pts, Brendan Weston 35 pts, Joel Cherry, Vic Walker and K Kable all on 32. NTP on the 17th won by Bob Key.
The chaps not playing pennants played a Stableford for Club Trophy. The winner also with a good score of 41pts was Simon Stephen. Balls were won by Simon, Colin Gronow 38 pts and Nathan Thistleton 38 pts.
Match play: Col Gronow defeated 3/2. Simon Stephen defeated Nathan Thistleton 2 up.
Sunday was a Par for John Cherry Trophy. Pepper Thompson came in with +6. Balls were won by Pepper, Brad Yelds +2, Wayne Elton Square.
Ladies played the second Club Medal & Putting for R Hood Trophy. Jean McLean won with 68 nett. Balls went to Joy Douch on c/b from Betty Crawford 73 nett and Eva L’Estrange 74 nett. NTP: on the 5th - Di Ingram.

Pony Club
Delegate Pony Club held their April on the weekend. Guest instructor Skeet (Peter) Evans come along to run riders through jumping techniques. Throughout the day he had the younger riders ensuring their eyes were where they needed to be and getting their ponies to commit to the jump set in place. The older riders worked on positioning of hands and bodies for jumping successfully. Next rally day is Sunday, May 6 9.30am gear check for 10am start.
