Fancy playing on the new equipment at Ginger Leigh Park or taking a leisurely walk through Platypus Place in Therry Street? Perhaps you need to use the new amenities building in Maybe Street?
This will be a reality for the Bombala community in the next 12 months as Snowy Monaro Regional Council continues the rollout of the Stronger Communities Fund (SCF) Major Projects Program.
Council is calling on the community to have their say on the concept designs for each of the following SCF Major Projects: Ginger Leigh Park playground, Therry St development and the new amenities block in Maybe Street.
The Ginger Leigh Park playground will be an all abilities space catering for any age and interest. The new playground will complement the natural and green environment along the Bombala River foreshore.
Snowy Monaro Regional Council mayor John Rooney is encouraging locals to provide their feedback on the concept designs.
“The three concept designs are very exciting and we are asking locals to have their say. Each project will provide enhanced recreational and economic opportunities for the Bombala community,” Mayor Rooney said.
“One aspect of the playground I’m sure people will enjoy is the flying fox. The community identified this as the most important piece of equipment for the playground.
“The flying fox is included in the concept design and is set to be enjoyed by children of all abilities.”
The community is also encouraged to provide feedback for the new amenities building in Maybe Street and the Therry Street Platypus Place development.
Feedback closes Thursday, May 3 - https://www.yoursaysnowymonaro.com.au/
