The students stayed at the Bush Capital Lodge (YMCA) and while they were there visited the Australian War Memorial where they laid a wreath at the Last Post ceremony.
The students were also treated to a tour of the CSIRO and Parliament House, played Lazer tag, visited the Mount Ainslie lookout, Questacon, Institute of Sport, Museum of Australain Democracy (Old Parliament House), the Australian Electoral Education Centre and the National Museum of Australia.
Delegate Public School principal Carol Sellers said the school would like to thank the Delegate Country Club and South Coast District Scouts for providing transport and Matthew Farran and Robyn Mikula for ‘accompanying us on our fantastic excursion’.
“I would also like to thank all the Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 students who were well behaved and always polite and courteous to our hosts,” Mrs Sellers said.
