Streetscape enhancements are set to boost the economic and social viability of towns across the region with draft concept designs currently out for public comment.
Draft concept designs for nine of the ten towns benefiting from streetscape upgrades are available on Council’s Your Say website.
Streetscape revitalisations are an integral part of the $14 million Stronger Communities Fund Major Projects rollout. Following a series of public meetings held in May, the streetscape concept designs reflect the uniqueness of each community.
The following towns have draft concept designs on public exhibition: Adaminaby, Bibbenluke, Bredbo, Cathcart, Dalgety, Delegate, Michelago, Nimmitabel, Numeralla – the community identified Badja Reserve for upgrades.
“It’s an exciting time across the region as our towns and villages receive important streetscape upgrades,” Snowy Monaro Regional Council Mayor, John Rooney, said.
“The Project Team has been working closely with each community to come up with draft concept designs. The designs outline the vision for each town, I encourage locals to have their say.”
To view the draft concept designs, head along to Council’s Your Say website. Council is encouraging locals to complete a survey and provide valuable feedback that will help shape the streetscape project.
