The report supports calls for a residential aged care facility to be established in Jindabyne, and the need for a purpose-designed facility catering for residents with ‘severe and challenging behaviours’ to be co-located at Yallambee Lodge, Cooma.
“The report is the beginning of a conversation with our community for how residential aged care services can best be delivered throughout the Snowy Monaro,” Snowy Monaro Regional Council mayor, John Rooney, said.
“I encourage locals to read this excellent and detailed report.”
Council would like to thank the community for their input into the Residential Aged Care review with hundreds of responses received through a survey and at public meetings.
The report is available on Council’s website at the below link, Council offices, Bombala Library, Cooma Library, Yallambee Lodge, and Snowy River Hostel.
