Bombala won the toss and had no hesitation batting first.
Wickets were hard to come by for Coffey’s early with Mick Sullivan the pick of the Bombala batsmen, making a very well made 63.
Bombala went to drinks at 2/90 with Coffey’s new recruit Ben Dibben taking the two wickets.
Bombala were looking at a 250+ score but enter Mark Williams, and like he has done for decades past, spun his way through the Bombala line up, taking 5/30 including being on a hatrick only for the hatrick ball to be dropped at short leg.
Bombala all out for 151 with Ben Dibben taking 3/33.
Bombala needed quick wickets and dismissed both Coffey’s openers within the first 10 overs.
Matt O'Reilly and Ben Dibben steadied the ship, seeing off a fast opening spell from Warren Thornton and continuing to tick the runs over.
The two looked safe at the crease until Sullivan dismissed O'Reilly for 22.
Coffey’s other new recruit Jory Taylor then joined in and made a quick fire 30 taking any chance away from the home side.
Dibben guiding his new side home in the 30th over to finish 41*, Coffey’s 4/154 in the 30th over.
