Bombala races
The Dongwha Bombala Cup was won by Rock on Zariz, trained by Barbara Joseph and Paul Jones, ridden by Aaron Sweeney. The training partnership, with Bombala roots and long association with the Club, always support the day, so it is particularly pleasing that they enjoyed this success.

Golf
Bombala lady golfers played a Stableford for Club Trophy on Wednesday. It was decided that we would make it a 13 hole comp after getting wet for three holes. The winner of the 13 holes was Joy Douch with 27 pts. Balls were won by Janet Cowell 25 pts and Di Ingram 22 pts. NTP on the 13th was Joy Douch.
There was so much happening in town on Saturday there were only a few turning up for golf but as hit off time came so did the rain so they decided to go home, what a wise decision. Storm, fog and weather turning cold the course was awash with water.
Sunday turned out to be a beautiful day but a small field played a Stableford for Club Trophy. Paul Halligan was the winner on a c/b from Wayne Elton 33 pts. Paul was the ball winner and no one was on the green on the 5th.
We had players at Coolamatong for their Open Tournament and by all reports they didn’t fair very well. Pepper Thompson did manage to win a NTP trophy. The rest of our regular players were recovering from a day at the races either thawing out or nursing sore heads.
