The Bombala commemoration begins at 11am at the Bombala Cenotaph on Sunday.

Bombala RSL sub branch president, Rob Letts said the ceremony will be conducted by the Reverend Judy Holdsworth with the Occasional Address from Bombala High School captain, Ellery Farran.

“The Bombala Rotary and Community Choir will be there to sing the National Anthem and members of the community are encouraged to lay wreaths,” he said.

In Delegate the RSL sub branch commemoration begins at 10.40am at the Cenotaph. Delegate RSL sub branch president, Phil Pope said if it is raining the service will be held in the School of Arts Hall.

“The Delegate Hotel will have lunch available after the service from 12 to 2pm,” he said.

After the Delegate Remembrance Day ceremony, local war researcher Sandra O’Hagan is opening her doors to the public at 7 William Street, Delegate where she will have on display the biographies of 668 soldiers from Delegate, Bombala, Craigie, Bibbenluke, Cathcart, Bendoc, Delegate and the Men from Snowy River.

“People are welcome to come along and look at the biographies that include information about each man’s war service, personal information, photos, letters from home and newspaper articles,” she said.

The Remembrance Day Service in Nimmitabel gathers at the Cenotaph at 10.40am.   The service starts at 10.45am with guest speaker Wing Commander Ray O'Reilly, followed by a light luncheon at the Nimmitabel Country Club.
