Jindabyne is the fastest growing town in our Snowy Monaro region, and the Jindabyne 2036 Masterplan will help ensure the town’s growth is properly planned for.
Over the weekend we saw a fantastic turn out for the Australian National Busking Championships.
For the first time, the event was held over two-days, with regional finals on Saturday, and the national finals concert on Sunday.
This year’s Snowy Ride attracted 2200 riders, and through the generosity of donors and sponsors, $250,000 was donated to childhood cancer research. What a wonderful effort by all those involved.
Each year our community supports the Snowy Ride by hosting checkpoints in our towns, raising money and providing a warm welcome to the riders.
The Snowy Ride started in 2001, and has raised more than $7 million for the Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation.
This week, the 45th Snowy Mountains Trout Festival is being held on Lake Eucumbene and Lake Jindabyne.
This event attracts anglers from across the country, and provides a significant boost to our towns and localities situated on these two lakes.
On Sunday, the Michelago Spring Fair will showcase country living at its finest with stalls, music, children’s entertainment, and rural displays.
