For the first hour, the students rotated through different groups where they were taught specific skills needed to play Aussie Rules football that included passing, kicking, dodging and hand-balling the Sherrin.
Sherrin is the name for an AFL football.
After a short break, the competition started with teams playing a round robin consisting of four rounds.
Bombala Public School principal, Jo Tozer said, all the teams displayed great sportsmanship and were very competitive.
“The only winner on the day were the students who learnt many new skills and had loads of fun despite the inclement weather.”
