The Snowy Monaro Regional Youth Council is working with council to develop a Regional Youth Strategy.
The youth strategy will help plan for the future, by guiding the council on matters relevant to young people and ensuring that its projects, facilities and activities reflect the wants and needs of the community.
The Snowy Monaro Regional Council has invited the entire community – youths and adults - to provide feedback, as their opinions will help shape the future of the region.
When council posted a link to the feedback form on its Facebook page, many people provided their ideas.
These ideas including things such as an indoor play centre for kids, a bus for youth events in Cooma and Jindabyne so kids from smaller towns could attend, or a bowling alley or arcade.
Ideas included a bowling alley or arcade.
To view the feedback form, visit www.yoursaysnowymonaro.com.au, click on “Current Projects” in the top bar, then scroll down to “Youth Consultation Project”.
If you would like to sit down with the youth council to talk in more detail about your ideas, get in touch via email on CommunityYouth@snowymonaro.nsw.gov.au. The opportunity to provide feedback will close on January 31.
