Police from Delegate and Jindabyne have been involved in an ongoing operation after the discovery of a small cannabis crop growing within the Kosciuszko National Park.

On Thursday, February 7, police arrested at 54-year-old male from Berridale after executing a search warrant on his home address.
Investigation into the crop led police to the address in Berridale where they seized over four ounces of cannabis leaf and seeds. The 14 cannabis plants from the National Park have also been seized.
The 54-year-old male has been charged with cultivating a prohibited plant, possession of a prohibited drug, possession of equipment for the administration of a prohibited drug and for introducing vegetation into a national park.
He will appear before the Cooma Local Court on March 21.
Police are urging anyone who may have any information about in relation to drug supply or cultivation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website. Information can be provided anonymously.
