Saturday was to be a 18-hole Chicken Run but after nine holes the weather took a drastic turn. With strong winds blowing pine cones from the trees like missiles, rain and the temperature dropping to freezing players called it quits after 13 holes.
The winner over nine holes was Tony Brady on 20 pts with Ray Crawford coming in on 18 pts.
NTP on the 7th was won by Chris Halligan winning a little nest egg. Been a few rounds before Chris found the sand.
Sunday was our opening day. A good field turned up to play in great golfing weather in the Mixed Chapmans for C Stewart and C Halligan Trophies.
The rain we have had, not as much as a lot of other places, but it made conditions more difficult with some sad stories being told.
The winner of the trophies were Gay Kennedy and Chris Halligan 69 6/8 nett.
Ball winners were Brad Yelds and Eva L’Estrange 72 5/8 nett.
For the members without partners a stableford was the event.
Nick Ryan was the winner with 35 pts from Joel Cherry 33 pts.
